Class Information

Saturdays 1pm-3:30pm

JoRo Company is open to children aged 11+. We welcome pupils from any school who are passionate about the Performing Arts.​​​

The class includes 45 minutes dance, 45 drama and 1 hour group LAMDA. The students work on advancing their technique, performance skills, and artistic expression to a higher standard. We focus on honing their craft, preparing them for more demanding performances, and deepening their understanding of stage presence and interpretation, all while building confidence, resilience and creativity.

LAMDA Exams

All pupils take LAMDA exams. They are nationally recognised qualifications awarded by the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art. These exams help children develop skills in communication, memorisation, interpretation, and stage presence, and are a great way to build confidence in both performance and public speaking.

We currently offer these LAMDA syllabuses:

• Acting

• Acting (Duologues)

• Verse and Prose

• Public Speaking

Children can choose to take Solo exams, where they perform on their own, or Duologue exams, where they work with a partner (Duologue is only available for Acting). Exams typically take place every 2-3 terms, depending on the student’s age and grade.
