Mill Hill Academy is open to children aged 5-15 and is split into the following age groups, 5–7, 8–10, and 11-15. We welcome pupils from any school who are passionate about the Performing Arts.​​​

In these sessions, students work on advancing their technique, performance skills, and artistic expression to a higher standard. We focus on honing their craft, preparing them for more demanding performances, and deepening their understanding of stage presence and interpretation, all while building confidence, resilience, and creativity.

LAMDA Exams

All pupils have the option to take LAMDA exams. They are nationally recognised qualifications awarded by the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art. These exams help children develop skills in communication, memorisation, interpretation, and stage presence, and are a great way to build confidence in both performance and public speaking.

The 11+ group will continue progressing up the grades. If they are a new joiner and new to LAMDA they will be assessed and entered at the appropriate grade for their age and ability.

We currently offer three LAMDA syllabuses:

• Acting

• Acting (Duologues)

• Verse and Prose

• Public Speaking

Children can choose to take Solo exams, where they perform on their own, or Duologue exams, where they work with a partner (Duologue is only available for Acting). Exams typically take place every two terms, depending on the student’s age and grade.
